The Aarke soda machine is functionally no different from Soda Stream or other carbonators on the market. However, it is definitely different because the luxurious design of the machine looks more like KitchenAid than Keurig. It comes in six colors-matte black, black chrome, stainless steel, copper, gold and white-in addition to these full-time finishes, there is currently a Nordstrom exclusive color called “sand”, a matte cream Color, my personal favorite (and the one in the picture above). This is also part of Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale, which runs from July 28th to August 8th.
When ordering, you should plan to only sign up for the Soda Stream X Amazon CO2 Distributor Exchange Program ($65), which is also the tank used by Aarke. You ordered two CO2 cylinders, and when you complete them, you can mail them to get a $15 gift card for your next CO2 purchase (or whatever you purchased on Amazon that day). This genius reward makes it very easy to manage the maintenance of the machine and prevents you from reverting to any wasteful buying habits in the past while waiting for the arrival of new carbon dioxide.
Ready to switch, I put the machine on my counter. It is very easy to use. You tilt the machine and screw it into the gas tank, then support it. I have a basic Britta filter ($26) in the refrigerator, so I use it to fill bottles and screw them into the nozzle of the machine. I pushed the lever and listened to the noise to let me know that my water was carbonated enough. If you like more bubbles in your water-Topo Chico lovers, listen! ——You can continue to carbonate H2O according to your preferences.
I am very good at drinking water, but increasing my intake with the help of this machine definitely means that I can achieve my daily goals without any problems. As a reminder, “soda water is just carbonated water,” Keri Glassman of RD told Well+Good earlier. “Soda water often adds sodium to carbonated water, which is what makes it different from soda water.” This is actually just an important difference if you want to switch from drinking soda to drinking soda made by Aarke. “If you lack sodium, soda water may actually help replenish water, but if you have enough sodium in your diet, soda water is like drinking soda or water.”
Another aspect that I really like about Aarke is that I can use real fruits and herbs to flavor my water. In addition to the delicious taste, I don’t want to buy bottled (very heavy) soda from the grocery store. I just tear off a few strands of rosemary or put a little lemon to keep it fresh hhh.
If you are also ready to make the cans of the grocery store story without 12 bags, this carbonator will not disappoint. In fact, it (literally) is good value for money.
