MANASSAS, Virginia. During a recent inspection by the Prince William Department of Health, a restaurant in Manassas recorded 36 violations. The last round of inspections took place from 12 to 18 October.
Most of the state’s COVID-19 restrictions have been eased, and health inspectors are returning to personally conduct many restaurants and other health checks. However, some visits, for example for training purposes, may be conducted virtually.
Violations often focus on factors that can lead to food contamination. Local health departments may also conduct follow-up inspections to ensure that potential violations have been corrected.
For each observed violation, the inspector proposes specific corrective actions that can be taken to eliminate the violation. Sometimes it’s simple, and violations can be corrected during the review process. Other violations are dealt with later and inspectors may conduct follow-up checks to ensure compliance.
According to the Prince William Medical District, this is the most recent check in the Manassas area.
