Review. Last year I tested and reviewed a countertop water filtration system that has now become a daily fixture in my home. We went from buying a case of water every month to buying a case every two months. I have a media space and bar in my basement for our entertainment. The bar also has a cocktail pasteurization machine that uses purified water during the mixing process. Being able to test and review this upgraded PT-1388 countertop reverse osmosis filter was a no-brainer.
The PuretalUpgraded Countertop Reverse Osmosis Water Purifier is an advanced countertop ultraviolet water purifier that releases no byproducts or chemicals while effectively disinfecting and killing 99.9% of viruses, germs and bacteria. It features a three-stage reverse osmosis system with a 0.0001 micron pore size that provides an additional level of UV purification.

The PT-1388 upgraded desktop reverse osmosis filter is mainly made of plastic/ABS plastic, with a touch panel on the top of the front and a plastic water tank at the back. There is a lid over the water tank. There are two filters installed between the water supply tank and the machine. There is a tray on the front panel of the device and under the drains to collect dripping water.
Before using the PT-1388 Upgraded Countertop Reverse Osmosis Water Filter, I rinse and fill the water tank to the maximum level. The next step is to follow the instructions for the washing process. As soon as I connect the device, the front touch panel lights up. I then followed the user manual during the flushing process. The screenshot below was taken using the stopwatch on my phone and shows the time it takes to complete a full rinsing cycle: Here is some information from the manufacturer’s website: The manual states that the rinsing process should be completed 3 to 5 times. I decided to repeat this process up to 5 times. The washing process is very simple and takes approximately 15 minutes per cycle at all stages. After I was done I tested the water and it tasted great and also checked that it was draining properly. He also passes this test. This is a very good machine, although you can’t get hot or cold water out of it. Water at room temperature. The following video shows my experience with the flushing process and performance testing:
The PT-1388 Upgraded Countertop Reverse Osmosis Filter is a great device that produces great tasting water. The affordable long lasting filter is great because other systems I’ve tried only have filters that last 30 days. I would really like to get a glass of cold water out of this rather than room temperature water, but it is still a very good water filter and dispenser.
