Reviews. I have tested and reviewed several water filtration systems over the past year and they have all produced pretty good results. As my family continues to use them, they have become our source of water, virtually eliminating the need for us to buy bottled water. So I’m always looking for any opportunity to review water filters, always looking for new and improved water filters. My latest option is the Waterdrop WD-A1 Countertop Reverse Osmosis System. So follow me to find out how it went and how I felt after testing.
       The Waterdrop WD-A1 Countertop Reverse Osmosis System is a NSF/ANSI 58 compliant hot and cold water dispenser. It is a bottleless water dispenser with 6 temperature settings (hot, cold and room temperature) and a 2:1 clean drain ratio.
        The Waterdrop WD-A1 Tabletop Reverse Osmosis System is primarily made of plastic and consists of a main body with a touchscreen control panel on the front and filter access from the top. Removable water tank/reservoir on the back. The set includes two replaceable filter elements.
        Setting up the Waterdrop WD-A1 Countertop Reverse Osmosis System is very easy. After opening the package, you must install the included filter and rinse the machine according to the instructions. The flushing process should be performed every time the filter is replaced. The washing process takes about 30 minutes. Here’s a video showing the process:
        The Waterdrop WD-A1 Tabletop Reverse Osmosis System works very well. Setup is easy, as is flushing a new filter. This water filter provides both very cold and very hot water by changing the temperature. NOTE. Depending on the temperature selected, the hot water may become very hot. The result is water that my entire family agrees tastes amazing. Since I had tested other filters and also used bottled water, we had a good sample to compare against. This water only makes us want to drink more water. The downside is that for each tank filled with water, a “waste chamber” is created. This compartment is part of the reservoir and must be emptied when the main water supply compartment is refilled.
        If you drink a lot of water, this process can be a bit tedious as you will have to remove the reservoir to refill it as the system seems to know that the reservoir has been removed and replaced and will only continue to operate once this has happened. . One possible solution is to use two hoses: one to continuously supply water to the system, the other to drain wastewater.

        The Waterdrop WD-A1 Countertop Reverse Osmosis System is one of the top two systems I’ve tested. The installation process is simple and the water tastes great. I wish there was a way to not have to manually fill the reservoir since everyone in my family drinks more water now which means more manual filling of the reservoir. I also understand that in order to automatically refill the water, you also need an automatic drain device. However, I give this water filter/system a good job and two thumbs up!
